The lyrics of the Kannodu Kannai Kalandhal in Manmadhan Ambu have the Hindu Makkal Katchi activists flaring up against director KS Ravi Kumar, producer Udayanidhi Stalin, Kamal Haasan and Trisha.
The coordinator of Hindu Munnani Party, Kannan, has said that plans are being made to stage a protest and file a court case as this song has some adverse remarks about Lord Aranganathar and Goddess Sri Varalakshmi.
The Hindu Munnani party of Tamil Nadu has filed cases against Trisha, Kamal Haasan and the producer of the Manmadha Ambu movie (Manmadha Baanam in Telugu).
Apparently the organizations says that the lyrics of one song hurts the sentiments of the Hindus since the lyrics makes fun of Lord Venkateswara and goddess Varalakshmi.
The Chennai based court accepted this case and issued notices to Trisha, Kamal and the producer of the movie and aksed them to respond with one week.
On the other hand, Kamal Haasan and Trisha refused to speak to the media regarding this and said that they would respond after talking with the producer.
